Due to the 'inspiring success' of the Youth Employment Programme (YEP) in 2013 whereby more than 4000 youth have been placed in private companies, the 2014 National Budget has provided another Rs 275 m to further assist Mauritian youth to obtain employment. www.yep.mu provides information on the YEP to employers, and to youth aged between 16 and 35 years who are currently unemployed, and explains the few simple steps you need to take to participate.

A fully interactive web portal whereby youth will be able to view the list of registered employers, and employers will be able to access the profiles of youth, will be ready shortly.
